Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the National Library of Azerbaijan and the National Library of Qatar

On April 16, 2018 opening ceremony of the new building of the National Library of Qatar was held in Doha, Qatar. First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Vagif Aliyev, Director of the National Library Kerim Tahirov and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Qatar Rashad Ismayilov represented Azerbaijan at the event.

Heads of states and governments, former presidents, ministers of culture and tourism, and directors of national libraries attended the event.

After the event, the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Vagif Aliyev  in his meeting with HH Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani conveyed the greetings of the President of Azerbaijan to him and congratulated  the people of Qatar on this magnificent Project.

On April 18, Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the national libraries of Azerbaijan and Qatar in the new building of the Qatar National Library.
